The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced a plan to build a 21-kilometre double-deck flyover connecting Shil Phata junction with Ranjnoli junction near Bhiwandi. The structure will include a four-lane road on the lower level and dedicated space for three metro lines on the upper deck. The corridor will connect with major projects like the Airoli-Katai Freeway, the Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor, and the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train alignment. The operator of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) and Apollo Hospitals have signed an agreement to deliver round-the-clock medical services for both airport staff and passengers. Apollo Hospitals will establish multiple 24x7 medical centres at Terminal 1, with emergency medical support and disaster-management facilities staffed by Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support-certified professionals. Two fully equipped intensive-care ambulances will be stationed on-site, and 65 automated external defibrillators will also be placed throughout the terminals. The Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) has announced a temporary suspension of flight operations on November 20 for six hours to carry out its annual post-monsoon maintenance. Both intersecting runways 09/27 and 14/32 will remain closed from 11 am to 5 pm. The airport operator has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) in advance to help airlines and ground staff adjust flight schedules and operations. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will take charge of resurfacing three key flyovers at Vikhroli, Vakola and Aarey, under a project estimated at around INR 30-35 crore, with reimbursement to follow from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). The move follows directives from Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri Devendra Fadnavis aimed at easing traffic flow on the Western Express Highway. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) have handed over more than 100 flats to beneficiaries under the third allotment phase of the Shantipalli Awas Yojana, part of the Keshari Residency project in Satya Nagar. With this phase, 560 families have now received homes�326 in the first phase held last November and 121 in the second. Odisha�s Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra stated that the project, developed under a public�private partnership, will ultimately provide 1,300 units, including 840 for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Of these, 560 G+4 flats are already complete and occupied. The initiative, one of three affordable housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Bhubaneswar, is complemented by ongoing works at Ekamra Residency in Buddha Vihar and Barunei Enclave in Subuddhipur.Read more

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has approved leasing around 15 acres of land at the closed Mulund dumping ground to Navbharat Mega Developers Private Limited (NMDPL), an Adani Group special purpose vehicle (SPV) executing the Dharavi Redevelopment Project with the Maharashtra government. The lease, set for 10 years, will carry an annual rent of INR 18.35 crore at a rate of INR 252 per sq m per month. The land will be used to set up casting yards, precast units, and RMC plants essential for construction. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will transform seven of its sewage-treatment plants into revenue-earning units by selling about 1,200 MLD of chemically processed recycled water annually to companies including Tata Power, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) at a rate of INR 1 per kilolitre. A 56-metre steel span was recently installed at the Sonapur junction in Mulund as part of the ongoing Metro-4 construction between Wadala and Kasarvadavali. The heavy-duty operation, carried out in two phases using 500-tonne cranes and multi-axle trailers, required complete traffic closure at the GMLR junction over two nights. Commuters were diverted through alternative routes including Village Road, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Road, and Subhash Nagar Road.
