The Bombay High Court has revoked letters of administration that had transferred ownership of a Malabar Hill bungalow valued at INR 150 crore. The property once belonged to Sir Jamshedji Duggan and was allegedly taken over through a forged will. The court fined the person involved INR 25 lakh and ordered cancellation of a transfer deed from 2022. Executors of the legitimate will of Dr Feroze Duggan challenged the transfer, saying it was based on false statements and unregistered documents. Property registrations in the Mumbai municipal region rose significantly during the past month, driven by strong festive demand. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has started generating 5 MW of solar power along the 701-km Samruddhi Mahamarg (Mumbai-Nagpur expressway), with initial installations at Karanja Lad in Washim and Mehkar in Buldhana. The power will be sold to MSEDCL under a 2022 agreement at INR 3.05 per unit. Samruddhi is now India's first expressway to install solar generation. MSRDC aims to scale up to 204 MW across various interchanges, using the solar power for highway lighting and generating carbon credits. The Supreme Court has directed a man to vacate two properties in Mumbai and hand them back to his 80-year-old father. The order was passed after the son was found preventing his father and mother, aged 78, from residing in their own homes. The Maharashtra government has approved redevelopment of 4,973 flats in SVP Nagar colony in Andheri West under MHADA, spread over 498 plots.
