Ventive Hospitality Ltd posted strong financial performance in Q3 FY 2026, with consolidated revenue reaching INR 722 crore, up 27% year-on-year, and EBITDA at INR 348 crore, reflecting 25% growth. The hospitality segment led the gains, delivering revenue of INR 565 crore, a 35% increase, and EBITDA of INR 226 crore, up 54%. Indian hotels saw 22% revenue growth with 35% higher EBITDA, while international properties recorded 46% revenue growth and 73% EBITDA growth. Annuity assets contributed INR 128 crore in revenue. Strong ADR, occupancy, and TRevPAR across properties underpinned performance.Read more

PRISM-backed Sunday PropTech, the asset-owning hospitality arm of OYO, has acquired a portfolio of eight premium hotel properties in India, according to people familiar with the development. While the transaction value has not been officially disclosed, the combined valuation of the assets is estimated at around INR 800 crore. The acquisition has been funded through a mix of debt and equity instruments and marks another step in the company's strategy to build a sizeable owned and managed hotel portfolio across premium and mid-premium segments. The newly acquired properties will be operated under PRISM's brand ecosystem, including Sunday Hotels, Belvilla and other appropriate brands based on asset positioning. The deal underlines Sunday PropTech's continued focus on asset-led growth, as it evaluates further acquisition opportunities to strengthen its presence in India's organised hospitality market.Read more

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Rajdeep Infra and Sales for the development of a 135-key voco-branded hotel in Lucknow, marking another addition to its premium portfolio in India's state capitals. The upcoming property reflects IHG's focus on cities witnessing strong administrative, educational and business-led growth. The hotel is scheduled to open in the third quarter and will strengthen IHG's presence in Uttar Pradesh, where demand for branded hospitality continues to rise. Indian Railways has outlined plans to develop a longer 24-coach Vande Bharat sleeper train to meet rising demand for premium overnight travel on busy long-distance routes. The move follows positive passenger feedback from the recently introduced 16-coach sleeper variant, which offers 823 berths. Located in Besant Nagar, the not-for-profit facility aims to make essential diagnostic and preventive healthcare services accessible to wider sections of society, particularly construction workers and low-income communities facing rising medical costs. The centre offers over 100 diagnostic services, including blood tests, ECGs, X-rays, CT scans and comprehensive health check-ups, at prices roughly one-third of prevailing market rates. With blood tests starting at INR 50 and CT scans priced at INR 900, the initiative seeks to address gaps in affordability and long waiting periods at government hospitals. HOSMAC has designed and developed Cipla's newly inaugurated Breathefree Lung Wellness Centre in Mumbai, strengthening the pharmaceutical major's focus on integrated and preventive respiratory healthcare. Spread across about 8,000 sq. ft. in Prabhadevi, the single-level facility has been conceived as a one-stop destination for lung diagnostics and wellness services. Inaugurated on 26 January 2026, the centre reflects a wellness-led design philosophy that departs from conventional clinical environments. HOSMAC delivered a comprehensive turnkey solution covering medical space planning, MEP design and interiors, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient-centric efficiency. Southern Railway has announced a scheduled halt for the Chennai Bengaluru Double Decker Express at Tiruvallur railway station, responding to long-standing commuter demand from the suburban region. Although the halt has come into effect from earlier this week, passengers are currently unable to book tickets to or from Tiruvallur as the station has not yet been updated in the Passenger Reservation System. Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd reported a 96 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit after tax to INR 1.4 crore in the third quarter, primarily due to a one-time expense linked to new labour codes. Revenue from operations increased to INR 752.7 crore, supported by strong growth in the India resort business. Expenses rose sharply, including an exceptional charge of INR 11.06 crore.
