MahaRERA has recorded over 50,000 registered agents, paralleling the number of housing projects registered with the regulator. Agents from over 150 cities outside Maharashtra, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, have also obtained registration under MahaRERA, highlighting the widespread impact of Maharashtra's real estate market. Currently, of the 50,673 registered agents, 31,980 registrations remain active, while 18,693 have been cancelled due to various reasons, including failure to obtain mandatory certification or renew licenses. The Konkan area, encompassing the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, leads with the highest number of agents, followed by Pune. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced a draft manual to rate properties based on the quality of digital connectivity available on their premises. This initiative aims to motivate property managers and owners to improve connectivity infrastructure, thereby assisting prospective buyers and tenants in making more informed decisions. The rating system will evaluate properties based on specific parameters such as fibre readiness, mobile network availability, in-building solutions, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and overall service performance. The West Bengal state Cabinet approved a 25-acre International Information Technology Entertainment and Cultural Park in New Town near Kolkata, named IITEC or Biswa Angan. Developed via a PPP with HIDCO, the park will host global artists and cultural events, boosting tourism and creative industries. The tender process will begin soon. The Cabinet also approved 2,515 acres of industrial plots for steel companies, expected to attract INR 25,000 crore investments and create 70,000 jobs in Raghunathpur, Durgapur, and Panagarh. Additionally, 43 plots were allotted for MSMEs, supporting 1.4 crore workers across 90 lakh units. Land was also allocated for shopping malls with space for self-help groups to promote local artisans and weavers.Read more

The northeastern region of India is poised to witness a substantial influx of investment, potentially ranging from INR 2.5 to 3 lakh crore, across various sectors, according to Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia. Speaking ahead of the Rising Northeast Investors' Summit 2025, Scindia disclosed that the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has secured investment commitments amounting to INR 1.12 lakh crore through nine roadshows, excluding previously announced investments. With the summit set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, DoNER plans to engage with major industrial houses such as the Tata Group, Reliance Industries, and Aditya Birla Group to further boost investment figures.Read more

The flyover, constructed atop the viaduct of Metro Lines 4 and 4A, integrates road and metro systems for optimal land use. It is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion on Ghodbunder Road, a major freight corridor connecting Thane to Bhiwandi, Navi Mumbai, Vasai-Virar, and Gujarat. The first trial run of Metro Line-9, a crucial metro corridor connecting Mira-Bhayander to Mumbai's western and eastern suburbs as well as the international airport, commenced earlier this week. The initiative marks a significant milestone as Thane district witnesses the launch of its first metro service. The trial run was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Eknath Shinde and Shri Ajit Pawar, along with other key officials. The 4.4 km corridor from Dahisar (East) to Kashigaon features four stations and is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce pollution, while facilitating seamless connectivity to Mumbai's key transport hubs. The Indian government has granted approval for a semiconductor joint venture between HCL and Foxconn, aimed at establishing a wafer manufacturing facility at Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of approximately INR 3,706 crore.
