Ceigall India–Sushee Infra JV emerges lowest bidder for INR 521 crore highway project in Arunachal Pradesh

Ceigall India Limited, in a joint venture with Sushee Infra & Mining Limited, has emerged as the lowest bidder for a highway construction project worth about INR 521 crore in Arunachal Pradesh. The project has been awarded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and involves the construction of a section of National Highway-913, also known as the Frontier Highway. The project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model and is expected to be completed in about 36 months. Ceigall India will hold a 74 percent stake in the joint venture, while Sushee Infra & Mining will hold the remaining 26 percent.Read more

State admits excess payment to Metro Line 9 contractor, assures inquiry and recovery

Indian Potash to revive Badamba cooperative sugar mill in Odisha with INR 360 crore modernisation project

Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Odisha to revive the long-shut Badamba Cooperative Sugar Mill in Cuttack district with an investment of about INR 360 crore. The mill, which has remained non-operational for more than 15 years, will be modernised and expanded with a crushing capacity of 3,500 tonnes of cane per day. The project will also include a 16 MW co-generation power plant, a 10-tonne-per-day Bio-CNG facility and cold storage infrastructure. Under the agreement, the Odisha government will provide 112 acres of land on a long-term lease to IPL for the redevelopment. The initiative is expected to revive sugarcane cultivation in the region and directly benefit around 10,000 farmers in Badamba block while generating employment and strengthening the cooperative sector.Read more
