CREDAI MCHI Thane has welcomed the Maharashtra State Budget 2026, presented by Devendra Fadnavis, saying it outlines a broad agenda for housing, infrastructure development and economic growth.
Sachin Mirani, president of the organisation, said the focus on completing 3.57 lakh homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and incentives for rooftop solar energy would support the growth of affordable housing while encouraging sustainable development in Thane and across Maharashtra.
Faiyaz Virani, honorary secretary of the association, said the budget's emphasis on expanding infrastructure, including metro networks and highway development, is expected to improve connectivity and drive economic growth in the region.
He also highlighted development plans for cities such as Pune, Nashik and Nagpur, noting that these initiatives could create new opportunities for the real estate and industrial sectors.
According to the industry body, the budget aims to strengthen Maharashtra's position as a major economic hub, generate over 50 lakh direct and indirect jobs and attract increased foreign direct investment while pursuing long-term goals for sustainable urbanisation and economic growth by 2047.
